Yep. Radovan Karadzic had been in hiding for over a decade, after leading the Bosnian Serbs in the 1992-5 war. They forced quite a few Bosnian Muslims into concentration camps. I have no idea how many died. Karadzic was a psychiatrist. In Srebenica, 1995, some 8,000 Muslim boys and men were massacred, and Karadzic is supposed to have orchestrated that. It gives me pause to think that someone who has training in human nature is capable of leading such disastrous action. And then, after whatever the war did to him and those around him, he tried to be a good person under a new name.

OK, now that we appear to have a clear nominee who because of Democratic numbers is almost assured of beating any Republican nominee, can we begin to talk about substance instead of chanting "change"?

For those of you who understand that human suffering creates human monsters who are indifferent to suffering, this man is a prime example. He has been on trial for four years at the Hague. He stood accused of more than 60 war crimes and crimes against humanity. He is known as "the Butcher of the Balkans" and is responsible for four wars. By acting as his own lawyer he used this trial as an opportunity to speak on his political beliefs. He delayed the procedings at every opportunity, refused to enter a plea, and constantly denounced the court. In spite of his lack of cooperation, the trial proved that he was responsible for the genocide committed during the 1992-1995 Bosnia war, which the US government largely ignored while more than 200,000 people were killed. The trial was not completed when he was found dead in his cell this morning. There was no sign of suicide, and cause of death is not known. He did have dangerously high blood pressure and a heart condition based on the BP, and could have keeled over any minute from that. His lawyers say he was poisoned and want to take the body to Russia for an autopsy.

I heard a woman's voice on the radio saying "no one has a right to insult our prophet". Wrong. Everyone has the right to draw a picture. Even if you don't like it. You may consider it blasphemy but I don't. Your belief has no power to control others. It can only influence YOU.

My concern for your happiness influences me. I do not insult anyone intentionally, but people are often insulted by the things I say and do. Is that my problem?

If you kill people or burn buildings because you are insulted, what kind of person does that make you???? What is right and what is wrong? What would Muhammed say???
