Hi there. I'm still here. Watching in dismay as the processes and institutions that made America great are destroyed by a pussy-grabbing egotist and his flunkies, and they are the ones that call me deranged. These are sad times, and the title of this journal--Interesting Times are better than no times at all--seems ever more apropos. We get to be here and watch this happen.
Historically I have posted quotes, occasional poems and notes about the news or whatever I'm studying publicly. Privately it gets a little more personal...but I don't write that much. I'm 60 years of age and curious about why people are they way they are, how cultures move, and why it takes so long for a new understanding to sink in. Do we ever learn? Humanity is damaging our life support systems while scrabbling for wealth when we are already richer than we could have dreamed. It's idiocy and appears incurable.
