Here's Mercola's latest post on the subject.

We already knew we were getting a lot of mercury from fillings, but the dental profession and FDA continued to say they were "safe and effective"... safe and effective.. safe and effective.. safe and effective... It's the same mantra they use for vaccines containing lord knows what toxins... safe and effective... Now we know to be suspicious when that mantra comes out. Then somewhere along the line some dentists got real and decided they wanted to stop poisioning their patients, and suddenly had more business than they knew what to do with. The old-school dentists who still said fillings that were 50% mercury were safe and effective started losing ground. The FDA follows the money, like a dog follows a biscuit. I'm not a cynic, I'm a realist. =-] Too bad my brain is already frying/fried from the 20 mercury laden fillings that I got when I was a child.

I just learned yesterday that high dose N-acetyl-cysteine is dangerous for people with a high mercury load because it mobilizes it and is thought to transport it across the blood brain barrier and INTO the brain. I did not know this and took NAC along with detox protocols so I probably worsened my own problem. I wonder if taking NAC with a chelator is of any help in removing said toxin from the brain?

I had a dentist appointment today, I thought for a brief checkup and a cleaning. I was hopeful that this was a dental system that would work with me, that would do for me what I want. more )

I'm learning....at this point I'm learning that I was working too hard, trying to understand too much. A lot of what I need to do in this program is conserve my energy and don't let the piss poor lectures and notes get in the way of my enjoyment of life. So I just finished the 2nd Brons exam for the week (1st was musculoskeletal anatomy, 2nd was organ systems: the heart) and I believe I did well on both of them. I didn't study much at all.....just went over the material the day before the exam, and the morning before the exam. That's all it took. I looked up the heart physiology surrounding signalling in a physiology book and otherwise just memorized literally the bogus notes we were given. I didn't learn much but I got a better grade. I resent still that these lectures and notes are as poor as they are. I attribute it to this professor being burned out. He needs a break of about a year during which he should be paid to go through his own notes and reorganize/edit them for clarity and currentness. He's been using them so long that he doesn't remember how to TEACH them.

OK, so yesterday when my computer got fixed for free, and a few other things worked out to my benefit, I began to think that perhaps "my luck had changed". Only the way I think of it is more that I am cutting loose from a stuck place, moving forward in an energetic way. I think that going to a couple of yoga classes helped bust me loose. And cleaning my place. Washing my sheets and lighting a candle. I think playing the Boob Job Mix loud helped too.

The black flies just hatched and they are providing the kitten with endless gymnastic entertainment. She chases them everywhere, climbing up the walls and leaping at the curtains, but they always get away.

This fellow, Weston A Price, travelled around the world and looked at native populations, comparing their diets and teeth and lots of other stuff. He decided that diet was the most important variable among tribes with radically different physical development. The page that is linked above is the site's answer to the common PC word on what is 'good for you'. It completely jives with what I have learned in my personal inquiries, and there is lots of research out there backing up these assertions. Nice to see it summarized this way.

This is a SCARY article about a woman's child being taken from her by CPS when she declined conventional medical treatment for her child (drugs & kidney surgery) and took her breast-feeding baby to seek alternative opinions and treatment. They put out a warrant for her arrest, took the baby away, and that's that. Do what the surgeon says OR ELSE. Don't you dare take away profits from the medical machine. Alarming.
