Testosterone effects on appearance

An excellent example of a man who LOOKS like he has very high testosterone is the Duke Lacrosse player Ryan McFadyen. Check out his mug. (PHOTO disappeared from web)
This young man threatened to kill and skin two strippers, in a nasty email on his Duke student account. He signed it with his team number, 41. Does his apparently dangerously high testosterone excuse such behavior? How about his value as a sports player? Aggressive violence and rape are common among sports teams and especially the alpha members of those teams. High testosterone is what makes him athletic and good at lacrosse. High T blurs his ability to think clearly, so it is akin to insanity. Should he be excused for possibly participating in the gang rape of one of these strippers? Should we monitor young men who show signs of high testerone as possible threats to society? Should we treat them as if it were a disease? I think that if high testosterone causes this kind of behavior (and I believe it does), it IS a threat to society and should be medically treated.
See my March 20 entry on Testosterone for more info.
Does this guy have any similarities in his face?? (BELOW)

And here's one more athlete who has rather public issues with testosterone: Floyd Landis, who lost the 2006 Tour de France title based on allegations that he was doping with synthetic testosterone.

T, homosexuality, bisexuality, brainwashing
Date: 2006-04-25 09:12 pm (UTC)Your theory about lust and gayness matches my own personally derived theory. Testosterone is the hormone of desire. High T people are hornier than low T people, gender irrelevant. Anyone who is extremely horny may not have patience with a low T person's need to be seduced emotionally and gradually aroused. They just want to FUCK. When one is possessed with such an urge, who or what you fuck doesn't matter so much as simply getting it DONE.
I don't believe all the rape awareness advocates who say that rape is NOT sexual, it is purely violent. I believe it is both violent AND sexual. But better that super-horny men should fuck each other than to go around sticking it where it's not welcome.
Of course I derived this theory from my own experience with men, and the gayest men of my own lovers have been the horniest.
The idea that hetero men who doen't get off as much as they need to put that extra sexual energy into machoness is a new idea on me. I'll have to bat that one around, but it seems to jive.
About your reputed straightness yet occasional attraction to men and willingness to kiss one: I think (here's another theory) that EVERYBODY IS BISEXUAL. Anyone can be sexually aroused by someone else regardless of gender. Monkeys do it. The only reason that some people can't even imagine touching someone of the same gender is that they have been brainwashed. Our culture is homophobic and people get taught that they SHOULD NOT go there else go to hell, or whatever punishment. At least two of my lovers in this life were men I would call gay, but who were afraid to try sex with men because of the social ramifications, and their own homophobia. They liked me because I'm big and muscular and agressive. Hmmmmm.
FYI: I heard somewhere that a woman actually absorbs T from the semen of her lover, which increases her libido. Don't know if it's true, but it jives.
So it's a personal topic. I have a "slutty history" too, and plenty of grounds for my opinions. It's really nice to hear from a man who is not a homophobe or moralist. Thanks again for having your say!!
