Sounds like the creatures who had elongated hominid skulls found in Peru were genetically quite different from homo sapiens.

These skulls are so similar to our fantasized "alien" that i was shocked by their appearance. I have to wonder how well known these skulls are, having been "discovered" eighty-five years ago. How were they determined to be "human" skulls?

Interesting!! That shape does occur in the movies, doesn't it? I'm not great at remembering dates but these guys lived a long time ago. =-]
