Like!

I made it through surgery OK. Pain is manageable, I am sleeping on and off. Ate some chick broth and jello. Yahoo, no more periods and hopefully feeling great!!

Atta girl. Are you taking anything for the pain? No external wounds, right? Or did they cut your abdomen? Sleep and chicken broth sounds like the perfect cure. Hopefully you'll be able to stay quiet long enough to get really good healing started.

I'm taking Lortab (codeine/tylenol) and ibuprophen. They cut my abdomen, the incision is about 5" long just above my pelvis. I'm in too much pain to push myself to do anything at the moment, besides get up every hour or so to pee. I'll have to be careful once I start feeling better, there are a lot of internal stitches.

Yeah, the dangerous time is when the pain goes away. You will have to remind yourself to go easy because your body won't tell you anymore.

Look back to yesterday's post in my journal if you want to see a drawing that my doc did of my uterus vs. a normal uterus. It was really messed up.
