I understand this completely. I have had periods of my life where I have felt this way a lot. I especially recall the years where I worked 60-80 hrs a week, sometimes in addition to traveling to clients, and even more. At that time it was only my twice daily meditation practice that kept me from being crushed under the weight - and my dedication/devotion to my family. Sisyphus has been in my consciousness since early fascination with myth.
I think one of the reasons I use the kiva image as my icon is because of the powerful way it reminds me daily of the eternal sacred moment, my path, and the ancient daily rhythm of human life. As with the beauty of the mountain image and phrase you use. When I get lost and overwhelmed in the narrowness of repeated energy consuming tasks I feel like Sisyphus. Then anything that can expand my view and awareness and sense of connection is like gold.
