The Skinny Jeans Defense

Three times now men have been acquitted of rape charges because a jury or judge believed that a woman's pants could not be removed without her assistance. I'm skeptical. Maybe I should get some skinny jeans. I suspect they can be peeled off rapidly and forcibly once the buttocks are cleared, considering that the hips are so far above the top of the jeans. But on the other hand, there are plenty of unfair rape accusations made too, there should be repercussions for wrong accusations. Thank goodness we have the right to a jury of our peers! Too bad so many of our peers have gone stark raving mad.

I'm pretty damned certain that I could not only remove them against a skinny girl's will, I could rip them to pieces in doing so if I wasn't concerned for the young lady involved. Once they are undone they can just be peeled off, they'd have to be stitched closed with linen or some other tough thread before they constituted any sort of protection.

Same thing with Simpson's gloves, he could have jammed his hands in to those if he had wanted to.

Yep. It's a bit disturbing what passes for "reasonable" in court these days. I have not yet got to sit on a jury, but I am looking forward to my chance!

Don't you have crime round there? Alameda is very quiet and they have summoned me about four times... even though I am a foreigner and therefore unwelcome as a juror.

I've been summoned a few times but been unable to serve so far because I'm in med skule! Can't afford to ditch an entire term of education to serve. But once I'm out in the world, I'm all about it.
