Seriously though - sexual identity is not a static thing for everyone. I just don't understand why that's so hard to figure out.

New research is showing that women are more fluid than men in sexual "preference". But men are in charge, and generally not reading the research....so we deal with the extrapolation from their experience to what they think is "right" for everyone.

Well, the thing about that is that now we have the Internet and just about every scientific article ever written in right here at my fingertips. We, as a society, need to GET OVER IT and read the literature.

I just don't know where Oprah gets off acting as though this is some sort of strange new phenomenon. It's been happening for decades. That's really irritating.

I think Oprah is doing good work bringing things that are taboo to some people into the light of day. The point I take from Oprah is that our culture has loosened up regarding same sex union to the degree that more people are feeling free to try it.
