I got the email notice about an hour ago, and was just about to post and forward in the effort to get a Michigan television station to pull an hour of planned anti-gay programming....but by the time I got around to it, the program was already cancelled. It was cancelled within an hour of the alert going out! Nice work, GLBT activists. Here's the new headline:

WASHINGTON – The Human Rights Campaign, the nation's largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender civil rights organization, today issued a national action alert against the American Family Association's (AFA) one-hour television special called "Speechless: Silencing Christians," which is promoted to "reveal the truth about the radical homosexual agenda and its impact on the family, the nation and religious freedom." Within an hour of that action alert announcement, the Grand Rapids, MI station which had planned to air the deceptive programming rescinded that offer.

But I am really interested in what the AFA was going to say. The Christians have been silenced. What radical homosexual agenda do they imagine? Am I part of it, because I was going to post in favor of the Human Rights Campaign? Probably so. If they think that my willingness to accept and tolerate a diversity of people is part of some kind of conspiracy, then they're really not getting anywhere fast. Because I'm not the only one like me.
