I think when you pay for assets you should own them. But that's just crazy talk! Oh! And the idea that there is a responsibility to the taxpayers if government money is involved. Madness.
Yes, really I agree with you. Buy a heap of rubbish, and that's what you own. I think that we are due for some serious contraction of our economy (read: bankruptcy of corrupt and overextended businesses) and restructuring based on new beginnings. Which is not what the Swedes did. But at least they didn't saddle their great grandchildren with paying off the bailouts. I don't think our govt is ready to allow the contraction and restructurnig that I would advise....so I just wish that they'd be a little smarter about all their willy nilly bailing out of common criminals.
