The young woman that I was going to live with in Portland has bailed out, isn't going to NCNM and isn't moving to PDX, and I just sent a money order yesterday. So I'm homeless again and none of these leads I've followed lately have gone anywhere. ARHGGH!!!!

I have discovered that people do not want to take in a new roommate if they can't meet you in person. I understand this but I am not there yet!
Phooey.

It is not possible to stop payment on a money order. I called the bank. I have to get the piece of paper back and take it to the bank to get my money back.

oh, crap

Man, this is frustrating news. What about the place that you copied the ad down for earlier in your journal? The place that seemed perfect?
I"m rooting for you, hang in there.

Oh, the perfect place didn't respond to email or phone calls. Guess it wasn't so perfect. But I'm not worried, I'm getting lots of contacts that are still looking for a housemate so I will get to pick and choose. It will be better than living in that apartment with the girl who bailed.
