You Talk Too Much

Nice post here about how to encourage a 50/50 split of talk time and have better conversations. Unfortunately there's no advice on what to do if the OTHER person is the overtalker, except perhaps to excuse yourself to go get another drink.

Yeah, I am more like you, or quieter. I tend ask questions and listen, and I don't volunteer much about myself. When the other person never asks a single question about me, they often talk incessantly and do not end up learning anything about me. When they think I'm a great person when they don't know a damn thing about me, I drift away....
