Trip Report: Middle and Lower White Salmon

Last Sunday I tried handpaddling the Middle and stopped after a couple miles when my hands got cold. I was out of control in the first rapid, and collided with a friend in a canoe, then got a nice ender while upside down. Also traded boats with other LCCC club members and got to surf in a canoe, or two. The previous Sunday I paddled the same section tandem.

I think I'm going to sell my paddle. I've been hanging onto it and for what? I'll never own another kayak. If I do any future trips it will be on rented or borrowed equipment, and my paddle isn't quite long enough to paddle a duckie.

I guess I'll put it onto Craigs List.

Might as well. You tried kayaking and moved on to other things. Arizona is definitely not a kayaking destination. =-]
