About the bill they just passed:
http://nvicadvocacy.org/members/Resources/VetoAB499.aspx
The only way to stop it now is if the Governor Jerry Brown vetoes it. I'm not sure I want him to though. The link above is in favor of "parent rights" to control their children. In the battle between parental control and corporate control, I guess I vote for parents, but they can be wrong too. I'd like to see our teens getting well educated about the question, that's the real solution.

Though, I'm not sure if I'm for this [since I never got vaccinated myself], I can see the point with the promiscuity of the youth of today.

Yeah, actually after further consideration I like the idea of kids being able to get the vaccine if they want, whether or not their parents approve of the decision. The only problem I have with it is that the kids probably won't get balanced information or the full picture, instead they will get the vaccine manufacturer's propaganda...

So very very torn. On the one hand, I *want* young people to get this vaccine, On the other hand, "the state is mother, the state is father" is among the most horible sentiments in history, and is responsible for many many true attrocities.

Therefore, I am for "leaving it to the states". I don't really care what each individual state does, because the possibilities still exist for "foot voting", and the more *effective* scheme will eventually gain adherents.
