Yep, you would love the trip we just did. In the photo, the little island on the right is where we camped. It's pleasant and easy, but then you can make it as aggro as you want by how far you go, and what tides you play in.
In fact, if you come to PDX when it's possible, you and I could do this. The boat rental was the most expensive part: $140 for 3 days of sea kayak rental. Gas to get there. Food. $12 camping. That's it.
