Thanks. I'm studying to be a Naturopathic Doctor, ND. It's a four year doctorate that parallels training for an MD except that it requires some understanding of alternatives to pharmaceuticals and surgery, and embraces some very old ideas about vitality and treating the whole person (as opposed to treating a disease). I will be a general practitioner. Naturpathic doctors are licensed in 16 states at last count. I may end up practicing in a state where licensure is not available. I will seek licensure in a "licensed state" before moving to the frontier of this new wave of old medicine.
