I HOME BIRTHED my third. I was charged $1000 for everything. (In all honesty I had to be transported due to nearly bleeding out. The doctors will not give the local midwives pitocin any more.)Darn near did my second.(I was admitted three minutes before he slid out. Always in a hurry, that one!)
#1 was a Normal american bad birth. They tried to start meon my due date had PUPPP and was miserable. Nothing was going on, no dilation, so I went home with the hep lock still in. They told me to come back at 7. I said "Fuck that." I knew I was going to have a C-section if I went back. She came out 9 days later on Friday the 13th. Her birth was hell.
I had HMO midwives for that one. It was a pack of lies...
