liveonearthDay 3 in the house on white cloud circle. I didn't get up in time to see Brian's workplace, and I ended up going for a walk in the state park across the highway and sitting by the river for a long long time. There are so many wonderful plant smells! Many are familiar----polygonum, mint, ginko, christmas fern, maple and hemlock and kudzu vines....it's just like Tennessee....so many species. Rich diversity. I love it.
The river is slow and placid by the park. I will go there often, I can tell already. There are no bugs here! I thought there would be mosquitoes but there aren't. I hope that tomorrow I wake up feeling strong and energetic. I have been tired for days after my long drive. Tomorrow morning I hope to ride my bike into town and visit the market under the Burnside bridge.
