It's complicated! Vit D isn't absorbed if you don't take it with something fatty. Calcium is best taken in many small doses throughout the day, because it is hard to absorb. Magnesium is relaxing and vasodilating and helps with sleep. And there is 100x more to know and I have to go! Sorry I can't give you a firm and permanent final answer.
