Back to School

Today is Day 1 of Quarter 2. Behind me already is my first class in Medical Ethics (since my undergrad in philosophy in the 80's) and my first clinical correlates class. I'm feeling considerably more settled than I did last quarter. At least now I have a stable place to live, a relationship that has withstood a test or two, and an idea of how things work (or don't work) around here. I passed all my classes from last quarter (didn't find out until I checked my mailbox this morning) and even got honors in one. Woo hoo. Next stop: the bookstore to get a book on microbio for idiots.

Congrats on doing so well your first quarter! That's excellent. I am signed up for a class this semester, it starts next week. Finally, NAU is taking working students into consideration and offering more classes on a one-day-per-week format. My class will be on Wednesdays, 4:30-7pm. Can't say I'm excited about it but that's OK.

I have mixed feelings about the one class per week format. Most of my classes here are like that. I learn better with more consistent exposure, and am not good enough with the studying to keep it all going in my head at once.

What class are you taking?

I don't know if I'd like the one-class per week format if I were going to school full time either, although I always liked online classes better than lecture, so I don't know.

The class I'm taking is Sociology of Culture. Should be a good one.

I still have to finish my work from the Deviance class to get a grade... I have about half of the coursework left, but it shouldn't be too bad. Just dug the book out and am going to try to get it all done before the new class starts next Wed.
