QotD: NdGT on Ignorance

Does it mean, if you don’t understand something, and the community of physicists don’t understand it, that means God did it?... If that’s how you want to invoke your evidence for God, then God is an ever-receding pocket of scientific ignorance that’s getting smaller and smaller and smaller as time moves on.

On the other hand, the expanding "coastline" of knowledge seems to reveal an ever widening "sea" of wonder. Science not only does not answer all of the questions that interest me, it doesn't even try to answer some of them (why are we here? What should we do?, etc.) And those questions science will not answer may turn out to have been the most important ones, God or no God.

Well said.
