I have never heard of an ecstatic dance. It probably is exactly what it sounds like! I'll want to hear more about that.

Christmas will be low-key around here. My parents are coming over Christmas morning for coffee and homemade cinnamon rolls. In the afternoon, Paul and I are heading over to Robyn and Art's house for Christmas dinner with them and Robyn's parents and grandparents.

That's probably all I'll be able to handle in one day.

You may be feeling a helluva lot better by then, y'know. Lotsa vitality in you. Hope it all goes well.

Ecstatic dance: Some events by this name are actually meetings of a religious group, and dance is their prayer. Others are less formal. All involve a certain wild abandon in dance TOGETHER which causes something that doesn't happen in more structured or isolated dance. Usually there is a DJ or a premade mix, and the music is eclectic in the extreme. Here in Portland there are regular dances at several locations.
