Politicians are mostly paid by businesses, megacorps, that is another link that needs breaking. But this is a good start. Can we limit their pay to ten times minimum wage?
That would seriously change the congressional demographic. Not a bad idea, though! I used to work for a company that limited the pay for its top officers to 5x the least paid employee. It kept the bigwigs away for a while, but eventually they wanted to hire someone they couldn't get with that rule, changed the rule, and the whole company changed as a result.
