Do you really want to prove that Karl Marx was wrong? Accepting "the end of growth" is the only way it can be done. Some growth is natural and necessary for health. Economic growth, beyond a certain point is unhealthy, unnatural growth, like cancerous growth. I think we reached that point about fifty years ago Which is probably why so much discussion of the economy seems pointless and senseless.
Too many people, using too many resources, and using too much of those resources to compete is a death sentence for the species. No, it won't happen tomorrow. But it will happen.
