This is where I am going in less than 2 weeks. My friends there are traumatized.

It's a ponderosa pine forest burning on the flanks of an inactive volcano. And one wouldn't want to be on the mountain or in the path of the fire, but not dangerous if you're far away and out of the smoke plume.
