Well, I was in Palestine for the summer, half to do an exchange at a hospital there, and half to explore & when possible, participate in peace/justice/solidarity work.
And I just went to the Dead Sea on a weekend day trip actually, so I guess that part of it was vacation. :)
Recommendations would include thinking about the political and environmental implications of particular therapy choices. Like it was rad to be there, but I wouldn't suggest someone go without knowing some about the history of the region, what is going on with dropping dead sea levels and why and who has access to the river jordan water anyway, etc etc etc. :)
