In undergrad (genetics) I did a research paper about the effects of SSRIs on gene expression. One of the impacted proteins was BDNF. I'll have to pull that out and read it again. It is most fascinating (and awesome) that nutrition affects gene expression, too... which really should encourage people to eat well and take care of themselves!
