As a beginner - and this may be my yoga center - there are levels. So I am learning level 1 - expected time is about one to two years, depending on how I decided to pace myself. When I want to become certified, I go up for assessment, which involves teaching 6 poses (not sure I have the # right) in a 45 minute class. There is also a written test. Each level has certain poses. As I continue to go through the process - I will post my experiences and let you know my thoughts. namaste, laura
