It is clearly disordered for a man to think that he is a woman just as it would be disordered for a man to think that he is Abraham Lincoln (unless that is his name).

I can understand why transgendered people do not feel that this is a sickness- it does not kill them or cause physical illness, they do not hear voices in their head, and they live almost normal lives.
