My favorite Jawbone story: We, as NOC did, have a high rope, right above Hydro and a low rope to belay the raft into the eddy at the bottom of Jawbone, and above Sock-em-Dog. I was holding the high rope. It must have been fairly high water because there was an additional guide in each boat in the bow to help get around Hydro Electric Rock and pass the Lizards Lounge to the left of Hydro. Anyway, I was holding the high rope...the raft came through and the stern guide fell out. I was going to pull this cowboy move and save the day by jumping into the back of the raft and grabbing a passengers paddle and help to get the raft safely to the eddy...well, I miscalculated the speed of the raft and the distance down to the raft. I jumped in, but landed directly on a woman, who fell to the floor, with me on top of her, between her legs. She seemed to be really enjoying this. I was trying to get off of her and she was holding me on top of her. The raft came to rest in the eddy on the left below Jawbone. My cowboy move failed, but gave a good belly laugh to my fellow guides.
Ah...Jawbone
