Wow! I'm really surprised by some of the names on that list. I'm a huge believer in letting my political views and social views speak through my wallet and letting those organizations and companies know exactly why I'm supporting, or not supporting in this case, their products...a loss in sales sales seems to be the only thing that gets their attention.

I only saw a handful of ads on the TV about the various propositions around the country on this particular issue, all of them being to overturn the decision to allow gay marriage, and I can't think of one that wasn't misleading. Going into this election I wondered how much of the population would erroneously vote Yes in thinking that it supported the state decision to allow and recognize same sex marriages. To be honest, the conservative fear mongering and slippery slope lines of logic which summarized the whole thing as the downfall of civilization was truly reprehensible, both morally and socially.

I'm really sick of political and social fear mongering to get people on one side of a cause. I can only hope that the election of Obama is some sort of turning point where people begin to choose hope and reject fear as the deciding factor on issues.

Wow, two glasses of Merlot and I'm rambling like crazy.

=-] It's OK if you ramble here. I was surprised too at some of the contributors. I don't know if they realize that such contributions might hurt them when we find out that they are part of the problem....because there are a lot of us who vote with our dollars, more all the time.
