Yeah, who but an INTJ would get so much joy from a ziplock bag of otter poop! Anyway. I struggled with the decision of what to do and where for about a decade before I embarked on this training. I am still not positive that this is the right thing to do, but it was simply time to do SOMETHING and Portland suited me because it is progressive, bike-friendly and temperate.... Having just finished 1 year of the ND training I have taken the groundwork courses: biochemistry, microbiology, immunology, organ systems, hydrotherapy, that sort of thing. It is an area if great interest for me, and there is nothing I would rather do in this life than to heal people, so I have high hopes. This country and culture particularly needs the wisdom that has been saved in naturopathic medicine! It is the forgotten medicine, the medicine that can pull us out of dependence on pharmaceuticals and surgery and teach us how to live well again. As the politics shows that there are no new ideas for revising our healthcare (sickcare) system, I have increasing confidence in my choice.... and I wish you luck in your choice!!! Nerds unite for the betterment of our species!!
