One of my good friends is a nurse at FMC. I remember the flesh eating bacteria scare because she would frequently send her son to stay with friends and father (they are divorced) rather than be in contact with him. She was never specific about how bad it was, I'm sure she wasn't allowed to speak about it, but I remember sitting in her kitchen when she mentioned the bacteria, and wondering how and why she continued to work in that place. I still wonder.
