I read his book The Best Democracy Money Can Buy---it is a collection of essays that he had published under different cover....terrifying....and I think he's one of the few excellent investigative reporters among the Americans in this era. He's gutsy enough to say stuff other people won't say. He moved to Britain for a few years because of death threats. Sounds like he might be back in the states....
