I first became aware of this back in around 1997 or so, when I ordered the book Guide to Bodily Fluids. I highly recommend this book.

There is a whole section on famous people with medical problems related to urine, feces and flatulence. Although I've forgotten almost all of them, the Hitler citation was brief and always stuck with me:

"Adolf Hitler (1889-1945), troubled by chronic, uncontrollable farting, took charcoal pills and even nonlethal amounts of strychnine and belladonna in attempts to control the gas." (p. 77)

You'd like the book, I assure you.
