Ya know - the entire act of bestowing a gold token to a person who transcends possessing anything seemed a little odd to me. I kept wondering as I watched the coverage on cnn.com was "I wonder what on earth he's going to do with that thing when he gets back to India". Seems a little ridiculous to me. Why not donate that money to some noble cause instead of giving a buddhist monk a little bling?
