Thanks, Labyris! My truck sounds like it could blow up any moment and is blowing clouds of blueblack smoke when I start it up or hit the gas from a stop. I can't believe it passed DEQ inspection! But it did. So I'm just keeping oil in it and driving it until it blows up. S says she'll help me sort out how to get a rebuilt motor installed in it, when she gets here. The estimates I've gotten from auto repair shops have ranged $3-5K. Too much. Thinking about my options.
