It is always dangerous to confuse spiritual teaching with miracle healing. Just because a few people have possessed both talents, there is no reason to expect a healer to be a teacher or vice versa. I would not accept medical advice from someone i did not know or trust, somebody i had not talked to face to face whether MD, Chiropractor, Naturopath, faith healer, shaman, psychic healer, etc. etc.
"Abraham" was totally under my radar until i noticed that a couple of my LJ friends were frequently quoting "him." Usually the quotes (never framed as medical advice) made sense and when they didn't i ignored them.
Personally, i am opposed to leadership or followership. I will take good advice from anybody, but bad advice from no one. I am not fan of "new age" but "new age" sometimes translated the age old teachings of other cultures that i might not otherwise have noticed. But, since all translation fails to totally share the meaning and context of the original, i am always aware of potential danger (people dying in "new age" sweat lodges).
